MEET SKYLER + CHELSEA

So, what is THE GINGER BIRDIE?

Skyler and Chelsea wanted a place of their own to host their client session and quickly realized there was a need for this in our photo community. So, The Ginger Birdie Studios was born out of love for their photography community. Having a studio had been a dream for both of them. That dream came true in August of 2018 with the West End. In January 2022, they opened a second location in Downtown Winston-Salem (now closed as of December 15th, 2024)

Skyler Brown and Chelsea Clayton are wedding photographers and best friends based in Winston-Salem, NC.

Chelsea and Skyler both attended Randolph Community College (at different times) in Asheboro, North Carolina, with concentrations in commercial photography with an emphasis on beauty and fashion.

They met in the summer of 2014 after becoming close friends via Instagram, and it was an (excuse the pun) instant connection. They have been inseparable since, sharing as much of their life as possible. In 2015 the hashtag #THEGINGERBIRDIE was born to keep up with Instagram memories and soon after morphed into what it is today.
